At Barrack Lane Medical Centre we are proud to be placement host for medical students from the University Of East Anglia (UEA). Each year we have groups of students come to Barrack Lane throughout the year for learning and training in a primary care setting and gaining experience in how a GP practice works and the type of problems they will encounter while working in GP practices and the NHS.
While we do provide classroom based learning, we also provide practical learning and experience for these students where we get patients to come in and talk about their health conditions, participate in medical tutorials and also conduct appointments and consultations with patients while supervised by a fully qualified GP/Doctor.
If you have any queries or would like to help in the training and build experience for our next generation of doctors and health care professionals, please contact the surgery today by calling us or emailing barracklanesms@nhs.net so we can consider you for an upcoming teaching day.
