Long Term Condition (LTC) Clinic
Specialist clinics, run by our nursing team, are available to provide support and continuing care to patients living with many long term medical conditions.
The clinics serve people with a variety of Long Term Conditions and include:
- CHD [Coronary Heart Disease] and Heart Failure
- Stroke
- Hypertension [High Blood Pressure]
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Diabetes
- Asthma
- COPD [Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease]
- Hypothyroidism [Underactive Thyroid]
Contraceptive Services
Full services are provided by the doctors and practice nurses. These include oral contraceptives, coils, caps, injections and implants.
Child Development Assessments
The doctors undertake developmental assessments on children at the age of 6 - 8 weeks. The child health visitors are also actively involved in monitoring child development and undertake regular routine check ups.
Finally, all children are offered pre-school checks with the doctor before their fifth birthday.
Maternity Services
All the partners are trained in antenatal care, postnatal care, contraceptive services, minor surgery and the developmental assessment of children. Our doctors all offer antenatal and postnatal appointments.
There is a midwifery team who hold their clinics at Barrack Lane Medical Centre and The Willows Centre.
Phlebotomy Service
The Landseer Road Phlebotomy Clinic is a bookable phlebotomy service open each weekday between 7.30am - 5.30pm.
If you are unable to attend Landseer Road the practice offers a phlebotomy service. If you require a blood test, our Health Care Assistants hold clinics at both Barrack Lane and Stoke Park Medical Centre.
Teen Service
The practice is aware of the needs of young adults and provides a friendly confidential service for conditions such as smoking, acne, obesity, stress, eating disorders and family problems, as well as issues to do with safe sex, alcohol and drugs. Please make an appointment with a doctor or practice nurse.
Smoking Cessation
If you want support with quitting smoking please self refer to Feel Good Suffolk. They provide a supportive behaviour change programme which enables an increase opportunity for a long term positive lifestyle change, in fact, you are four times more likely to stop smoking with their support.
